From the start, Lift Innovations has thrived with support from the North Forge FabLab. Their flagship product is a precision grinder for naturopathic and aromatic herbs that uses cutting blades for a cleaner grind.

Community and Collaboration at the Core

“Getting started as a business was made easier by the people and environment at the FabLab,” says Jesse Marr, cofounder and marketing director. “It’s a creative and cooperative culture, and there’s always something to learn.”

Being able to experiment freely, share ideas without fear, and rely on expert support has been crucial to their progress.

Prototyping Made Simple

3D printing at the FabLab accelerated Lift Innovations’ development cycles. “If we didn’t have 3D printing, we would have pieced together solutions from existing products,” Marr explains. “Instead, we could hit modify, print, and test. It saved time and money.”

A Welcoming Space for Innovation

Marr points out that the FabLab is a genuine creative hub. “They want to help you succeed. That supportive community is exactly what early-stage entrepreneurs need.”

Active Product Line and Future Growth

As of 2025, Lift Innovations actively offers grinders, accessories, and replacement parts—all made in North America with lifetime warranties and free shipping in Canada and the US  .

New grinder models and accessories are available for pre‑order with expected 2025 delivery dates  . The company continues to expand in‑house manufacturing capacity, investing in new equipment in 2023 to keep up with demand ().

Why Lift Returns to the FabLab

“When our first batch of grinders sold through, we came straight back to prototype more,” Marr says. “We’re not a one‑off product, and the FabLab is where we’ll keep innovating.”
