The Canada Revenue Agency’s (CRA) Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is a federal tax incentive program designed to encourage Canadian businesses of all sizes and in all sectors to conduct research and development (R&D).
The program is the largest single source of federal government support for Canadian Industrial R&D and allows you to deduct SR&ED expenditures from your income for tax purposes and an SR&ED investment tax credit (ITC) to reduce your income tax payable.
