We’re celebrating Fab February with a Lunch & Learn! Join us on February 15th to explore the world of IoT and how it’s changing the world. As the next frontier in technology, many companies are already trying to capitalize on it. Over half of major new business processes and systems will incorporate IoT elements by 2020.

ioAirflow is a local example of one of the many diverse ways that IoT can benefit the economy. “Building automation is about to become one of the biggest Internet of Things (IoT) operational success stories. “At ioAirFlow, we know that businesses are looking to capitalize on this emerging market.” That’s why they have designed an IoT-supported intelligent HVAC system that will create an easy to install multi-zone temperature solutions. ioAirflow’s solution is more secure, more cost efficient, and can successfully be installed in commercial-industrial buildings.

ioArflow’s co-founders will be giving an informative presentation on how they are innovating in their industry, as well as the importance and impact IoT will have on our future!


Mandeep Saini, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ioAirFlow is a computer engineer with software and hardware experience, as well as diverse platform technology knowledge. He is currently an MBA student with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. He has over 4 years experience working for a federally-regulated medical robotics company, and 4 years working in the IoT sector. He has helped revolutionize pharmaceutical operations by driving higher efficiency through innovative approaches to difficult problems.


Matt Schaubroeck, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of ioAirFlow and holds an MBA from the Asper School of Business with a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation. He has prepared and presented detailed business strategies for clients worldwide. He also has over 5 years’ experience as a communications and public relations professional, with background in brand crisis management and media relations.


We will also be joined by Umbrela, a company that specializes in home automation systems which provide luxury smart home and security features! Just plug Umbrela into your current home wiring, and allow the device to control many electrical functions in your house such as lights, music and, thermostats etc. Unlike other smart home devices, Umbrela uses the latest power line communication technology, making it robust. Salman Qureshi, CEO of Umbrela, is a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA in Finance. He is accomplished at driving high tech, ground-breaking product development projects from concept to commercialization. He has over 10 years of experience leading R&D manufacturing for a Neurosurgical Medical Device start-up and over 6 years experience in the defence ad space industry, where he led projects related to the Canadian Space Agency and International Space Station.

He will be joining us to discuss how Umbrella his providing their customers with a solution to use energy efficiently, increase productivity, as well as his thoughts on the importance of Clean Teach and IoT.
